LumenMeter Privacy Policy

LumenMeter is a reflected-light meter for film photography, made by an independent developer. This page explains what data LumenMeter handles and how.

What LumenMeter collects

When you take a reading, LumenMeter records:

• Metered and corrected exposure values (ISO, shutter, aperture)
• The film stock, camera preset, and roll you had selected
• GPS location and color temperature, when available
• Any notes you type in
• A reference photo, if you choose to capture one

LumenMeter uses your device's camera to show a live viewfinder and to meter the scene in front of you — this happens entirely on-device, in real time, and no camera frames are recorded or transmitted.

Where your data goes

Your data stays on your device. LumenMeter stores your reading log locally, in the app's own storage. Reference photos you capture are saved to a "LumenMeter" album in your device's Photos library. LumenMeter does not operate a server, does not sync your data anywhere, and does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or trackers. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties.

Apple services used

LumenMeter uses the following device capabilities, subject to Apple's own privacy terms:

• Camera — for the live viewfinder, exposure metering, and optional reference photos
• Core Location — to tag each reading with where it was taken
• Photo Library — to save reference photos you choose to capture

Data deletion

Deleting a reading in LumenMeter removes it from the app's local log. Deleting the app removes all of its locally stored data; reference photos already saved to your Photos library are unaffected and can be deleted there directly.
